Of watching the earth
Roll into the night
But gruel from a tube
It’s not so grand
There’s no substitute
For terrestrial fruit
It’s weight in your hand

And I do love the way
That time here runs clear
Beyond the night
And free of the day
But I float awake
For days and days straight

Breathing the dirty air

But earth got me irked
Acid rain burning
Holes in my shirt

So I took the ultralight

On this here satellite

Buttons and knobs
Not all that fun

For some solid ground

Adrift in a void
The occasional asteroid

Some books about stars
